A return visit to Conwy by the fantastic Mancunium Consort, who delighted us at the end of last year with their account of the music of Gesualdo. One of Manchester’s leading vocal ensembles, the Consort delights in sharing its joy and passion for a cappella choral music with its audiences. Their programme will take the listener on a journey through time, showcasing the best of the Consort’s repertoire, and the core of its first album, ‘A New Light’. Weaving together multiple different branches of choral music from as far back as the 1500’s to the present day, prepare to hear music by the likes of Mendelssohn, Tallis, Elgar, Stanford, Wood, Byrd, Gorecki, Grieg, Brahms, Purcell, Eric Whitacre, Lucy Walker and more.
